I was actually told by someone today that they hate the ellipses. Yeah, the three little dot things that people write when they want to indicate a pause in speech. There are people who feel passionately about world hunger, ending war, curing diseases. Seems odd to me that the same effort should go into a crusade against an underused punctuation mark …
If it’s all the same to you …
I’ll keep …
…
… using them …
… mmm …
… … kay?
On a totally separate note, I used a different technique for digitizing this week’s strip. The lines you see are the same ones that were inked on paper. Before, I would trace my pencil lines in Illustrator to make them into vectors and then transfer the whole thing into Photoshop in order to color it.
This new process is so much quicker, but it does demand a bit more of my artistic skill in order to make it look right. And by artistic skill, I mean my inability to draw straight lines. I might tweak things a bit, see how it goes. Otakon approaches, fo’ rizzle.
