Brave New World (medium-rare)

Brave New World (medium-rare)

Ah, the relentless forward march of technology. I’m always amazed at what those scientists can come up with. This particular strip was inspired by a commercial on the radio that spouted the benefits of HD-Radios. Did you know that there are radio stations BETWEEN frequencies that your pathetic standard radio CAN’T detect?!?

Apparently, this isn’t the same thing as Satellite Radio. These are sets that can distinguish between frequencies in the .01 MHz range. Now, I’m not sure about you, but I have a hard enough time rolling the giant tuner knob into that minute space where my radio stations wedge themselves. Don’t give me that digital panel crap. A radio just isn’t a radio unless it has trackballs, sliders, and a parabolic antenna. Sort of like something out of a World War II movie or a Frankenstein flick. Hmm, Frankenstein in WWII, now THERE’S a blockbuster!

The semester is winding down, which means that LTT won’t be published in print over the break. I’ll still be updating the webpage, though. In fact, I’ll be updating more often. I’m taking every opportunity to say this, so I’ll say it again: Starting next semester, LTT will be published twice a week. In order to get used to that schedule, I’ll be doing two strips a week plus whatever bonus material I can add having to do with comic competitions or my upcoming début at Otakon.

I’ll be redesigning the website (again) in the near future. I told myself that once I hit 20 issues I’d start an archive section. Didn’t think I’d actually make it beyond 10, honestly. But here we are, 16 issues and almost 1000 hits later. This is the longest lasting, non-World of Warcraft, internet relationship I’ve ever had.
