There are times when I break down and thank the gods that I am not able to predict the future.
This strip was finished before the Super Bowl began, and while the scenario is highly unlikely, it was not beyond the realm of possibility. I watched the halftime show with bated breath, more than once drawing a sharp intake of air as The Boss’ shirt fluttered ever so close to fulfilling my prophecy. Those around me drew their own misguided conclusions as to why I was fixated on another man’s chest.
Again, due to server issues, this comic was supposed to go up on Monday while the game was still fresh in people’s minds. I like my material to be of a timely nature. Which is why it’s a paradox that I reference an ad campaign figurehead who hasn’t been seen in these United States for almost a dozen years. Interestingly enough, he is still popular in Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
That’s my way of bringing the world together.
