A framed print of this comic was my Christmas present to my mom this year. Well, really, the frame was the present. I just put this comic in there to make the frame look better by comparison. As a historical point of reference; yes, I did try and balance myself on a beach ball as a toddler. I dare any of you to say you wouldn’t have done the same thing given the opportunity.
Christmas is over and I made out like D.B. Cooper sans the parachute. A new art desk, clothes I can wear while exercising that WON’T threaten to fall apart at the seams, an upgrade to my perfectly legitimate copy of Photoshop, and the new behind-the-scenes Watchmen book by Dave Gibbons are just a few of the awesome gifts I received this year.
I’ve noticed a disturbing trend of sentimentality over the past two comics. Rest assured that I shall return to my bitter, loathsome, misanthropic ways with the coming of the New Year. This is my vow to you. You could call it a resolution, of sorts.
