People enjoyed homecoming this year, but there were new draconian laws and regulations passed vies-a-vie tailgating. Wristbands, checkpoints, pat-downs, drink limits, cavity searches, all were employed in the name of student safety.
Limits on the number of people and vehicles in the lot made it much easier to navigate. The unexpected consequence of this was that the space appeared to be much less populated than it actually was. People could, indeed, make it past the fearsome Jabberwock, but it lacked intimacy.
